Scots sweep Sewanee to begin 2010 campaign
MARYVILLE, TENN.-The 2010 version of the Maryville College Volleyball team looked to use last season's successful 30-6 foundation to build on their strong push towards their 9th Great South Athletic Conference title since 2000 and gain their 10th selection to the NCAA post season tournament.

This weekend Maryville College athletics fans will be able to see an array of Scots' skills on the football field, volleyball court, and the soccer pitch. Knoxivi will be hosting live broadcasts of six Maryville College events on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.

Lee Invitational sets pace for MC harriers
The Maryville College men and women harriers began pre-season action at the Lee University Invitational on Saturday, August 29th. Following a light rain on a hot and hilly course, the Scots women finished fourth only ten points behind Belhaven University. The men also posted a fourth place finish, training Belhaven by only three points.

Reserves gain experience through JBC victory
The Maryville College Men's Soccer Reserve Team kicked off their 2010 season with an impressive 5-1 victory over Johnson Bible College on Wednesday night. The scoring started only eight minutes into the contest when Joe Pinkston found Kris Varga, both freshmen, for the first goal of the campaign.

Maryville Machine returns to the pitch
When the Maryville College women's soccer program opens preseason practice on August 20th, they will look strikingly similar to the group that advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament a year ago. Maryville finished the 2009 campaign with a record of 14-5-1 and had their season cut short with a 5-0 loss to Trinity University (TX).
