Public Issues Forum

The Center for Strong Communities collaborates with other local and regional organizations to sponsor community forums that address current public issues. Previous forums have included workshops, roundtable discussions, and public presentations on water quality, K-12 public education, rural land use, health care reform, Latino experiences in East Tennessee, and social issues concerning Appalachian ministries.

The Center for Strong Communities welcomes discussion of collaborative efforts to host community forums in 2010 that will inform and stimulate people for civic engagement and the work of buidling healthy, just and caring communities.
