Staff & Advisors

Rev. Dr. Billy Newton serves as the organizing director of the CSC. He moved from Memphis to Maryville in 2006 to help the college launch the center after six years of study and conversation. Having served at Rhodes College for sixteen years and with other positions in the Presbyterian Church and with nonprofit social services, Newton’s background includes teaching, church-related outreach ministries, community organizing, nonprofit management, servant leadership development and college chaplaincy. billy.newton@maryvillecollege.edu

 

Mary Amber Dunn is a graduate of Maryville College and currently pursuing a graduate degree in Public Administration at UT. She serves as an assistant to the director in managing the CSC and developing its programs and partnerships. mary.dunn@maryvillecollege.edu

CSC Interns work with staff in day to day operations and take on particular projects in research, program development and community outreach.
