Education: B.A., University of Richmond; M.A., Ph.D., University of California, Santa Barbara.
Bio: Dr. Crystal Colter is Assistant Professor of Psychology at Maryville College, specializing in psychology courses. She instructs courses in social and experimental psychology, leadership and intergroup relations. Dr. Colter coordinates Community Conversations, an annual lecture series exploring current issues from varied perspectives and through open dialogue. Past topics include “The Iraq Question in Real Time” and “Perspectives on Science & Religion.” She holds a BA in psychology from the University of Richmond, and an MA and PhD in social psychology from the University of California, Santa Barbara. She is a Member of American Psychological Society and Society for Personality and Social Psychology.
