Topics of Interest & Expertise: Recent travel to Vietnam and previous experiences in 1970 and 1971 in the US Recent travel to Vietnam (2004) and previous experiences in 1970 and 1971 in the US Army, interest in Viet Namese history; forensic science overview and history; physical science demonstrations for elementary school students, Science Olympiad Competition and training for coaches; Pandemic Disease and Human History; Protest Music and Social Change in the 20th Century

Education: B.S., Rollins College; Ph.D., University of Florida; Baylor College of Medicine.


Bio: Terry Bunde is Professor of Chemistry at Maryville College. He teaches courses in biochemistry, organic chemistry and forensic science (for non-majors). He is a member of the American Chemical Society, Glycobiology Society, Phi Beta Kappa and a member of the Tallahassee, Sopchoppy and Gulf Coast Marine Biological Association. He was named the Council for Advancement and Support of Education’s Tennessee Teacher of the Year in 1989.

Most recently, Bunde has enjoyed teaching Senior Seminar courses on Pandemic Diseases and Human History, as well as Protest Music and Social Change in the 20th Century.
