Resident Director (Part-Time) - Two Positions

Maryville College is seeking applicants for two positions in Residence Life - Residence Director (Part-Time).  Must live in residence hall.  Meal plan is provided.

Job Status: Non-exempt, E-1

Job Summary: Manage one residence hall, select, train, evaluate, and supervise student staff. Essential duties and responsibilities include the following: Must live in the residence hall. Maintain a high level of student contact and visibility in the hall and on campus. Provide counseling/referral for residents. Ability to relate closely and professionally with students. Advise hall council. Interpret and enforce Maryville College and Residence Life policies. Serve as Staff Member on duty as assigned. Conduct weekly staff meeting with Resident Assistants. Monitor the use and condition of all facilities in the residence hall including common areas and student rooms. Assist student staff with room inspections. Maintain damage assessment records for respective building. Maintain and prepare necessary records regarding the residence hall and student residency. Assist with check-in and check-out. Attend weekly staff meetings with the Residence Life professional staff, as well as Staff Development and training sessions throughout the year. Assist with at least one area within the central office as assigned.

Requirements: Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university required. Residence Life experience preferred. Ability to relate closely and professionally with college students. Valid Tennessee State Drivers License required.
