Assistant Admissions Director - Transfer Recruiting

Maryville College is seeking applicants for the position of Assistant Admissions Director - Transfer Recruiting.  This is a full-time position.

Job Status:  Non-exempt, E-2

Job Summary: Responsible for enrolling a class of transfer students from awareness through enrollment.  Also responsible for processing all students in the status of audit, re-admitted, and non-degree students.   

Manages relationships with prospective transfer students and their families. Identifies, recruits and works with potential Maryville College students by attending college fairs, visiting two-year colleges, and by making personal contacts through phone calls, e-mails and mailings. Evaluates and processes admission applications and gathers additional information as needed by the Admissions Committee. Represents the College at public events both on and off campus including open houses, scholars’ weekends and Saturday morning campus visits. Develops relationships with key individuals who have significant influence on prospective transfer students, including but not limited to:  counselors, teachers, alumni, and ministers. Evaluates and processes admission applications for transfer applicants. Counsels students in the financial aid process. Serves on College committees as assigned

Requirements: Bachelor's degree required with an understanding of the liberal arts and church-related colleges, preferably gained through experience at a similar institution. Admission experience is preferred. Basic knowledge of computers required.
