2011 Schedule for Scholastic Art Awards

Regional Affiliate: Maryville College

Affiliate Supported by: Fine Arts Blount

Regional Affiliate Area of Service: Counties of Anderson, Blount, Campbell, Claiborne, Grainger, Jefferson, Knox, Loudon, Monroe, Morgan, Roane, Sevier, and Union.

All events take place at the Clayton Center for the Arts (502 E. Lamar Alexander Pkwy, Maryville) unless otherwise noted.

Jurying of entries: Saturday, January 22, 2011

Notification of awards:
Tuesday, January 25-Feb. 1, 2011

All submissions not selected for the show must be picked up by February 11, 2011. 
Note: We are not responsible for any submissions which are not picked up by this date.

Public reception (“Last Friday Maryville Art Walk”): Friday, February 25, 2011 from 5:00-8:00 PM

Student awards ceremony: Sunday, February 6, 1:30 PM

The Gold Key, Silver Key, and Honorable Mention recipients will be on display at the Clayton Center for the Arts from February 6-27.  Regular Gallery hours are Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM.

Closing/pick-up: ALL pieces must be picked up following the exhibit by Friday, March 4, 2011.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Information for Teachers

Submission Deadline: All submissions must be received by 6:00 PM on Friday, January 21, 2011.

Teachers may deliver artwork to the Clayton Center for the Arts, Maryville College, 502 E. Lamar Alexander Pkwy, 37804, Wednesday-Friday, January 19-21, 2:00-6:00 PM. If teachers want to submit artwork that is included in the “East Tennessee Regional Student Art Exhibition” at the Knoxville Museum of Art, they must label those works for Scholastic following the close of the KMA exhibit.  The Maryville College Art Department will pick up designated works from the KMA on Sunday, January 16, 2011.
