International Student Exchange Program (ISEP)

Maryville College is pleased to announce that it is now a member of the International Student Exchange Program (ISEP).  Through ISEP you have access to over 100 study sites in Africa, Asia, Canada, Europe, Latin America, and the South Pacific for a full academic year, a semester, or, in some cases, a summer program.

ISEP works very similarly to Maryville's Direct Exchanges: you pay tuition, room, and board to Maryville, plus an ISEP application fee ($315).  ISEP then screens your application, and if you're accepted, it places you in a university abroad in a full-immersion setting.  ISEP Exchange Programs are very competitive, and you compete with students from across the United States for a study abroad placement.

In addition to the ISEP application fee, you're responsible for health insurance, travel, books, and fees for a passport and, if necessary, a visa.

Benefits

  • You pay tuition, room, and board to Maryville
  • You receive enrollment, housing (either residence hall or home stays), a minimum of 19 meals per week, orientation and general services, and academic, social, and athletic privileges
  • Financial aid package will remain in place
  • Eligible for scholarships

ISEP's deadlines

  • April 15 for the following spring placement
  • November 15 for the following summer or fall placement.

Please note that the IPO will accept applications past these deadlines and will continue to make placements as long as openings remain.  But you should do your best to come as close as possible to meeting these deadlines.

The staff of the International Programming Office will of course help you. All ISEP Exchange Program information, including application forms, can be found at http://www.isep.org/us_students/
