Safety abroad during uncertain times
The members of the International Programming Committee have posted a letter on this website to remind students abroad of safety measures discussed during pre-departure orientation sessions. Now more than ever, these safety measures are very important. Please click here to read this letter.
Got your passport?
According to research compiled by the Institute of International Education, of the more than 14 million U.S. citizens enrolled in higher education, only 143,590 study abroad. That number is a fraction of what the proportion should be in a global world. Part of the problem with increasing the number who study abroad begins with the lack of a passport.
Only 17 percent of all Americans actually have one (and 50 percent of that number are under 5 or over 60).
