Why I love MC

Maryville College was my home for four years as a student. Some of my best memories were created here… meeting new friends who would later become best friends, late nights talking in the freshmen dorms, football games in the fall, Homecoming weekends, “family dinner” in the dining hall…the list could continue. I really did have a blast being a part of this community. Everybody was so friendly and genuinely cared about where I was coming from and what my story was. I made some great friendships with not only students, but faculty and staff, as well. I know that I will always look back on my days at MC as some of my best days. Now, that I am staff I get to experience MC in a brand new way. I get to stay on and continue to be a part of this incredible community of people and bring new students into the family as well! I couldn’t ask for more!

Bio

Well, I’m a gypsy of sorts. I was born in Boulder, Colorado, but have lived in 5 other states since that time. I went to pre-school in Massachusetts and Illinois, Kindergarten in Mississippi, grade school and middle school in Tennessee and I went to high school at Nolan Catholic High School in Ft. Worth, Texas. I came back to East Tennessee to come to Maryville College and graduated in ’07 with a B.A. in Religion and a minor in Sociology. While at MC, I was a leader and president of the Student Programming Board and also helped found the MC Dance Ensemble. Words cannot express my love for MC, but maybe actions can. I stayed on at Maryville to become a member of the Admissions staff and will finish out the ’07-’08 years as their intern. When I am not kicking it at work, you will find me staying close to the ones I love and having a great time in the process.
