Why I love MC
Why I Love MC is an easy question to answer . . . it's the students, the students, the students! I love hearing their stories and getting to know them on a personal level. It's nice when I can look back and realize that in addition to developing some typical student-counselor relationships, I have also made some good friends!
Bio
Hi! My name is Melanie McCammon, your transfer admission counselor. After graduating from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville with a BS degree in Education, life took me away from beautiful East Tennessee for a few years. I have spent time in places like Columbus, OH and Charlotte, NC, along with stops in St Louis, MO and Nashville, TN. Upon my return to the Maryville area, I soon found myself working at Maryville College in early 2001. My time at MC has been spent getting to know interesting and motivated transfer students like yourself. Outside of the work environment, you’ll find me spending time with my family, hanging out with my pooch (Piper), planting and maintaining my perennial flower gardens, going to yard sales with my dad, camping, and working the daily crossword puzzle in the local paper. Regardless of what I might be doing, I want to encourage you to contact me with any questions you may have about Maryville College and the admissions process. I would love to help you become a part of MC community!
