Institutional Awards

Awards for First-Year Students

In order to be eligible for most scholarships and awards, students must apply for admission by January 15 of the year in which they plan to enroll.

In addition to scholarships, Maryville College provides opportunities for additional awards to interested or qualified students. In consideration of scholarships received, individuals could earn $1,000 - $2,500 from one of the following sources.

Program Eligibility Criteria Financial Value
Maryville College Legacy Award Awarded to incoming First-Year students whose parents or grandparents graduated from Maryville College. Eligible candidates must contact the Office of Admissions for additional information by February 1. Up to $2,500 per academic year; amount awarded is based on consideration of all scholarships received and financial aid eligibility; renewable up to four years or eight semesters with minimum GPA of 2.50.
Bonner Scholarship Award Awarded to entering First-Year students who are actively involved in community service and demonstrate significant financial need. Recipients are required to invest ten hours weekly and 280 hours for at least two summers in community service. Cultural Diversity Award Awarded to incoming First-Year students demonstrating academic promise, leadership potential, and the ability to contribute to cultural diversity. Recipients are required to participate in related campus organizations and to maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5. Instrumental Music Ensemble Award Awarded to non-music majors on the basis of individual talent demonstrated by audition. Recipients are required to participate in a related music ensemble. Choral Award Awarded to non-music majors who have been a member of a high school chorus for at least two years. Deadline February 1. Audition required.
