Alumni Association
The Maryville College Alumni Association (MCAA) is made up of all MC graduates and all MC attendees who were enrolled at least one year and left in good academic standing. The purpose of the Association is to promote the interests and mission of the College and to consider and deal with common problems. The MCAA currently has more than 8,000 members. An annual meeting of the Alumni Association occurs each fall during Homecoming/Reunion Weekend. It is during this meeting that the Alumni Citation and Kin Takahashi Award for Young Alumni winners are recognized. The MCAA is governed by the Alumni Board.
The Alumni Board
The Alumni Board is the governing body of the MCAA. The Board meets twice annually, once in the fall and once in the spring semester. Board members are responsible for keeping the Alumni Office and administration informed about the alumni opinion, serving on a Board committee and performing all necessary tasks related to that committee, as well as various other duties.
Blount County Chapter of the Alumni Association
The Blount County Chapter, being made up of Alumni living in Blount County, has approximately 1,300 members. The Board members organize the Fall Craft Festival and Bake Sale at Homecoming, host the Christmas Open House at Willard House, among other projects. Their annual meeting is held in the spring.
