Coach Boydson Baird Memorial Golf Classic

8:00 a.m. shotgun start  •  Royal Oaks Golf Course $50/person
The 18-hole tournament for alumni, parents, and friends is a Homecoming tradition. Entry fee includes greens fee, lunch and cart rental.

Community Lecture - Biology Classes at MC: Location, Location, Location

1:00 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. • Lawson Auditorium, Fayerweather Hall
His bow ties are reminiscent of Dr. Fred Griffitts, and his passion for the Smoky Mountains will remind alumni of Dr. Randolph Shields. In this community lecture, MC Professor of Biology Dr. Drew Crain will discuss the unique education that MC students get in the east Tennessee outdoors, including the College Woods, the MC orchards and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. An orchard walk will follow the lecture.

Alumni Choir Rehearsal

4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. Clayton Center for the Arts, Lambert Recital Hall
In preparation for the Alumni Choir performance, the Alumni Choir will rehearse Friday and Saturday at Clayton Ctr. for the Arts, Lambert Recital Hall. From 4:00 - 5:00, the Alumni Choir will rehearse.  From 5:15 pm - 6:00 pm, the Off Kilter Reunion Ensemble will practice. Brian Bacon will be the guest director. Soles of the City: Open Cross Country 6K Race

6:30 pm • Maryville College Cross Country Course (Start/Finish line on Lloyd Beach by Crawford House)
Trail run open for individual runners. The course is an over the hills and through the woods cross country race that includes open field, single and double track trails. Race Director Website and online registration: www.totalracesolutions.com. Sponsored by: Maryville College Men’s and Women’s Cross Country.

Alumni Reception and Awards Ceremony

6:30 p.m. • Alumni Gym  $30 per person
NEW ON FRIDAY THIS YEAR!  Get back in touch with your class and those of all ages at the annual Alumni Reception. The Alumni Citation and the Kin Takahashi Young Alumni Award recipients will be honored and the reception will also highlight the 50th reunion. Heavy hors d’oeuvres will be served.

MC Theatre presents: “Impulse” by Cameron Hite

8:00 p.m. •  Clayton Center for the Arts, Haslam Family Flexible Theatre
“Impulse,” written and performed by MC senior theatre major Cameron Hite as part of his senior thesis, is a comedic one-man show that deals with the life and experiences of a young man living with Tourette’s Syndrome. Tickets are $10 for adults; $7 for area students and seniors; and free for MC students, faculty and staff. For tickets, please call the Clayton Center Box Office at 865.981.8590.
