"Little Scotties" Children's Area

Inflatables, face painting, and other kid-friendly activities are all hits with the “Little Scotties.” Children must be accompanied by an adult.

New this year! Lunch on the Grounds is now Tailgating: Scot Style! Join the rest of the tailgaters at Cooper Practice Field, bring your hearty appetite and sample some of the best burgers & dogs in the South at the concession stands! Visit the special tents and booths while you gear up to cheer on the MC Scots vs. LaGrange Panthers.

Bradford Scholars 20th Anniversary Celebration

11:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.• Wilson Center for Campus Ministry
All former Bradford Scholars are invited to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the Bradford scholarship.  Named for Dr. Tutt Bradford, this scholarship seeks to serve Blount County in the area of adult literacy. The scholarship is open to sophomores, juniors, and seniors, and requires six hours of service each week in the area of adult literacy. Students often work with the Adult Basic Education programs in Blount County by tutoring inmates at the Justice Center, teaching ESL classes, or reading to residents of the senior centers in the area.

Connect with the Fighting Scots as they make their walk from McArthur Pavilion to Cooper Athletic. Wear your orange and garnet to show your Scot spirit. Line up to cheer the Fighting Scots on to victory!

Also new this year…the Alumni March highlights those groups that wish to be recognized has having “Come Home” to Maryville College. Line up with your class or Alumni Chapter and march through the stadium to show your MC Pride! (If with a group other than milestone reunion years, please contact alumni@maryvillecollege.edu by September 30 to reserve a spot.)

Captains Brick Ceremony

Gather to see the Captains Brick placed in the Donald W. Story Captains Walk. This year the Captain’s Brick is inscribed with the names of the 2013 Football Team Captains: Jamie Owen ’14, Travis Felder ’14, Dylan Wolfenbarger ’14, Zach Capehart '16, Evan Pittenger ’16.

MC Theatre presents: “Impulse” by Cameron Hite

8:00 p.m. •  Clayton Center for the Arts, Haslam Family Flexible Theatre
“Impulse,” written and performed by MC senior theatre major Cameron Hite as part of his senior thesis, is a comedic one-man show that deals with the life and experiences of a young man living with Tourette’s Syndrome. Tickets are $10 for adults; $7 for area students and seniors; and free for MC students, faculty and staff. For tickets, please call the Clayton Center Box Office at 865.981.8590.
