A variety of crafts and baked goods at old-fashioned prices make an early trip to campus worthwhile! Sponsored by the Blount County Alumni Chapter, the fair helps provide scholarships for current MC students.

Catch up with former choir members and rehearse for a short performance during Lunch on the Grounds. Gail Hafner ’60 will be the guest director of the Alumni Choir.

A legend is retiring! Registrar Martha Hess ‘67, who was named one of 17 “Anderson Hall Legends” last fall, will turn in her office keys at the end of 2009 after 35 years of dedicated service. Stop in and wish her well in her much-deserved retirement.
A variety of organizations and departments will host “Open Houses” throughout campus. Homecoming participants are invited to visit several open houses during this two-hour block.
10:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m. • Crawford House
There are 30 different routes to the top of this tower! Children (ages 10 and under) must be accompanied by an adult.
A giant slide, highland games, face and hair painting, make your own kilt, and balloon animals with Daisy the Clown will be a hit with all of the “Little Scotties!” Laurie Allen Klein ’79, illustrator of children’s books, will be reading and signing copies of Where Should Turtle Be?, Little Skink’s Tail, and If a Dolphin Were a Fish. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Little Scotties are invited to participate in the parade.
With the Clayton Center for the Arts only months from opening, many are anxiously waiting to see what the finished product will be like. This presentation by the Director of the Clayton Center will help you visualize what is almost a reality.
Bonner Scholars and others who were involved in volunteer service through the CCM are invited to stop by for refreshments and conversation.

Alumni who are seminary students or serve as clergy, youth directors or church musicians are invited for light refreshments and an informal gathering to meet and connect across class years, denominations and callings.
Take a tour of the much anticipated Clayton Center for the Arts! Long pants and closed-toed shoes are mandatory. Space is limited to 30 people per tour and registration is required. Age limit for site tours is 14.

Stop by to chat and say thank you to Maryville College President Dr. Gerald Gibson and First Lady Rachel Gibson. Dr. Gibson is retiring in May 2010 at the completion of his 17th year at the College. Light refreshments will be served at this informal gathering.

Everyone is invited for a picnic lunch! During the meal, various musical groups from the College community will provide entertainment. Special seating will be available for all reunion classes whose graduation year ends in ‘4’ or ‘9.’

Join alumni from the classes of 1994 to 2009 for great food and a chance to visit with other classmates and their families. Also, the Calvin Cup will be presented to the class with the highest participation in the Maryville Fund in 2008-2009.

Listen as the Alumni Choir sings a medley of favorite Maryville College songs!

Gather along campus roads to watch the procession of bagpipers, reunion classes, current students, President and Mrs. Gibson, cheerleaders, Homecoming Queen candidates, kids, and pets! Reunion classes, please gather in front of Anderson by 12:45 p.m. and bring your children and grandchildren!
1:30 p.m. • Cooper Side of Stadium
Gather to see the Captains Brick, inscribed with the names of the 2008 Football Team Captains, Dustin Locke '10, Bobby Browning '10, Spencer Clancy '09, and Russ Harris '09, placed in the Donald W. Story Walk of Captains.
Former student-athletes, coaches and athletic supporters who recently have purchased a brick for the Athletic Recognition Plaza will be recognized. Join the fans at Honaker Field for this homecoming tradition! The 2009 Homecoming Queen will be crowned during halftime festivities.
Come and enjoy this revamped ceremony to honor the Alumni Citation and Kin Takahashi Young Alumni Award recipients. The reception will also highlight the 25th, 40th, and 50th reunion. Heavy hors d'oeuvres will be served.
