Social Events

For your enjoyment, we will have social events scheduled for several evenings.  The first event is participation in a Mountain Challenge low ropes course.  This event is fun, challenging and very rewarding.  Although the name sounds intimidating, those who participate have never been disappointed.  Make sure you plan to participate in this challenging evening of fun and learning.  Click here for more information about Mountain Challenge.

In addition to Mountain Challenge, we will also schedule other activities like movie nights, open pool hours, fitness center access, and group trips to special events in the local community.  Details will be in your registration packet.

Continuing Education Units

The Tennessee Department of Education recognizes Continuing Education Units (CEUs) earned at the Maryville College Advanced Placement Summer Institute for teacher licensing renewal. Teachers with 100% attendance records at the AP Summer Institute may receive 3.0 CEUs for participation in this weeklong workshop. Attendance at all class sessions is required for teachers to be awarded CEU credit. Participants from other states should check with their local systems about license renewal credit. Participants who attend 90% or more of the AP Summer Institute may receive a certificate of participation. Those who miss more than 10% will not be eligible to receive a certificate of participation.
