Baseball Facilities

"Scotland Yard" has been the home of the Maryville College Fighting Scots baseball program since its early beginnings in 1876.
The field has undergone numerous facility upgrades during the 1990's. It features a Bermuda turf infield and foul territory which is over seeded with rye during the spring season. The outfield is a fescue hybrid and is spacious featuring a fence line of 325' in leftfield, 400' in centerfield, and 330' in right field.
The Yard has covered dugouts, bullpens, lights, scoreboard, seating capacity that is covered for 150 fans, a press box and concession stand.
The Scots infield is a "Diamond Pro" mix and can be covered in poor weather by a full-field 150' x 150' tarp.
The baseball program is fortunate during any inclimate weather to go inside to the Alumni Gymnasium and the Cooper Athletic center.
The Alumni Gym, built in 1935, houses our indoor batting cages and locker room.
The Cooper Athletic Center, built in 1970, provides the Scots an outstanding opportunity for training indoors. A 3,000 square foot weight room, locker-room, athletic training room, laundry facility, indoor pool, and three full-size basketball court gymnasiums await each baseball player’s workout.
