Fighting Scots to Host Coaches' Roundtable May 12th

The Maryville College football program is hosting a football coaches' roundtable on Saturday, May 12th in the Cooper Athletic Center on the MC campus. The Maryville College football staff, as well as local high school coaches, will be giving presentations beginning at 9:00 am. All youth, middle school, and high school coaches are invited to attend and participate in the roundtable. There is no cost for the event and no pre-registration is required.

The Age of the Gunslinger: Rader's first practice portends fast-paced MC offense

Mike Rader has taken the practice field countless times as an assistant coach the last decade. Monday, it was his team. The new Maryville College head football coach opened his first spring practice to curious onlookers at Honaker Field. For the first hour of the two-hour session, the Scots separated into groups by position. The final hour was largely a fast-paced, 7-on-7 scrimmage, three- and four-wide on every play, quarterback in the shotgun, letting it fly on every down.

Quarterback Casey Carpenter Commits to Maryville College from Alabama

MARYVILLE, Tenn.- Casey Carpenter has committed to continue his education and football career at Maryville College in Maryville, Tennessee. The son of Tracy and the late Glenn Carpenter, Casey was a signal caller for Randolph County High School in Wedowee, Alabama. He will transfer to wear the orange and garnet this fall following a stint at Faulkner University in Montgomery, Alabama.

Rader announces new football staff for 2012

Newly appointed Maryville College Head Football Coach Mike Rader has announced his recent football staff additions for the 2012 season. The new mentor retained offensive coordinator Shaun Hayes and looks to utilize his eight years of experience with Maryville to implement the Scots'offensive game plan. Scott Brumett, Teddy Gaines, and Philip Bailey will help develop the Scots' football program under Rader's direction.
