There were many highlights in Maryville College’s first junior varsity performance of the 2010 season with a 20-6 victory over the University of the Cumberlands.  Fighting Scot quarterback Jake Crawford led MC's offensive attack with 209 yards passing and a pair of touchdown passes.

Following a defensive battle which left a 0-0 score at halftime, Maryville struck with a 20 yard touchdown strike from Crawford to wide receiver Garrett Gresham early in the third quarter.  Safety Andrew Woodin stepped in front of a Cumberland pass with 12 minutes left in the fourth quarter and returned the interception for a 42 yard touchdown.  Four minutes later, Crawford combined with Jack Moch with a 46 yard touchdown pass to close the scoring for Maryville.

The Patriots
