Scot Golfers Improve in Round Two at Royal Lakes

The Scots made improvement in round two of the Oglethorpe Royal Lakes Invitational and posted a 14th place finish in a strong field of 17 teams.    After a tournament opening round of 316, the Scots added a final round 311 for a 36 hole total of 627.

Individually, Zach Honea backed up his first round 72 with a 75 and a 147 total which was good enough to tie for 10th place.  JT Randolph struggled in round two to a round of 84 to go along with his opening 75 and a 159 total.  Eric Hall rebounded from an opening 88 to shoot his career low, a 73 and a 161 total.   Reid Henderson also posted a career low 79 to go along with his opening 86 and a 165 total.  Eli Johnson followed up his 83 with 92 for a 175 total.

Christopher Newport took the team title with a 585 total and CNU's Joe Evans backed up his opening 66 with a 72 and a 138 total for the individual title.

The Royal Lakes Invitational bosted nine of the top 25 ranked NCAA Division III teams in the nation.
