The 2011-2012 season will be Kim Woodard's third year at the helm of the Maryville College Softball program.

In the spring of 2010, her Scots posted a 10-2 mark in Great South action while finishing the season 18-24 overall. In 2011 her Scots recorded a 14-20 campaign with an 8-4 league mark. She has helped develop five All-GSAC performers during her tenure including 2011 GSAC Player of the Year Leah Kelley who ranked 9th nationally in batting average.

Woodard was a graduate assistant for LaGrange College during the 2008 and 2009 seasons. During this time, LaGrange won two Great South Athletic Conference Championships and received two NCAA tournament bids. A 2007 graduate of LaGrange, Woodard was the Great South Athletic Conference Player of the Year in 2007. She was a four-time All-GSAC selection. Woodard was named to three straight NCAA All-Atlantic Region teams. She also earned USCAA All-American honors following her freshman and sophomore seasons. Woodard finished her career with a .393 batting average. She ranks in the top-10 in nine different school career record lists. Woodard has a bachelor's degree in Psychology and has completed a Masters in Art of Teaching degree. She is a native of Gainesville, Ga.

While at Maryville, Woodard will also be responsible for the supervision of the athletics work study program within the department.
