No meeting location is more ideal to foster a sense of community and enable a productive event than an institution of higher learning. Maryville College offers a convenient and centralized campus design that places air-conditioned meeting rooms, auditoriums, dining facilities and residence halls within a comfortable walking distance. Available year round, our meeting facilities include campus facilities and the Clayton Center for the Arts. Our facilities include five distinctive auditoriums, more than 35 classrooms and meeting rooms, a chapel and four dining rooms/banquet areas. We can accommodate groups as large as 1,100 people.
Maryville College offers four dining facilities that can serve up to 250 guests. Each dining room has its own distinct personality and unique character that will add charm and warmth to your next special event.
The Proffitt Dining Room is located in Pearsons Hall and accommodates groups of up to 80 people. This beautifully decorated room features a fireplace and a private outside entrance and has an open parking area for easy accessibility. Because the room is quite versatile, offering many different room arrangements, it can be utilized for meetings and training workshops or for elegant banquets and receptions. It can also expand to the adjoining room, the Alcove, to accommodate larger groups.
The Margaret Ware Dining Room, also located in Pearsons Hall, is the main dining room for students and has very limited availability during the school year. Accommodating up to 250 guests, this air-conditioned room features a cafeteria-style setup with stationary seating.
Isaac's Café is a multi-level room located in Bartlett Hall Student Center with a seating capacity of up to 150. Originally opened in 1901 as the College's gymnasium, the room features a unique oval-shaped second floor that opens to the main floor. The main floor features an oval shaped dais that can be used as a stage, dance floor or serving area. The room is creatively decorated with MC history and sports paraphernalia and features a big screen TV, sound system and CD changer.
Willard House is an elegant space for special events. This beautiful, Queen Anne-styled house features a formal dining room, parlor and library. Many groups have enjoyed the music of the baby grand piano while they enjoyed a full-course meal served at a graceful 22-seat dining room table. This lovely home accommodates up to 40 guests inside or up to 150 using the carefully manicured lawn and porch area.
All catered events in Maryville College facilities must employ the staff of Maryville Dining Services.
The Clayton Center for the Arts features two main dining areas. Events in the Clayton Center may choose from a list of preferred vendors.
The William Baxter Lee II, Grand Foyer is an elegantly designed venue that is just the perfect place for a wedding and/or reception. The Grand Foyer measures 78 feet by 46 feet, has two sweeping staircases leading to the balcony and 15 chandeliers with more than 1700 hand-blown glass orbs running the entire length of the foyer. It can accommodate more than 250 for a sit-down dinner.
The Fulmer Family Special Events Room is located on the balcony level of the Center’s main building, can accommodate up to 40 people for receptions, meetings or conferences. It measures 32 feet by 18 feet and has a beautiful view looking towards downtown Maryville.
