No meeting location is more ideal to foster a sense of community and enable a productive event than an institution of higher learning. Maryville College offers a convenient and centralized campus design that places air-conditioned meeting rooms, auditoriums, dining facilities and residence halls within a comfortable walking distance.
Beeson Village was completed in 1997. The Beeson Village complex, comprised of three individual buildings that front a courtyard, can accommodate a total of 80 residents. Arranged in suite-style housing with double- and single-occupancy bedrooms, each building has four apartments that sleep four people each and two townhouses that sleep six. Each apartment/townhouse has a kitchen and living room area and at least one bathroom. Beeson Village is primarily used for adult conferences.
Historic Carnegie Hall was refurbished and reopened in 1993. Carnegie has 81 rooms on four floors with a maximum capacity of 108. There is a centralized parlor (lobby area) that serves as the registration area for incoming camps and conferences. The basement/ground floor area features a community lounge area with TV/VCR and pool table. Laundry facilities are located next to the lounge. Carnegie's handicap entrance is located at the rear of the building, and an elevator makes the entire building accessible to wheelchair-bound individuals. Carnegie is primarily used for adult groups and older youth groups.
Copeland, Davis and Gamble Halls are identical buildings completed in 1966 and recently renovated. Sixty-two rooms spread over three floors offers a maximum capacity of 100 in each building. The large lobby area on the ground floor also has side lounges featuring a pool table and TV/VCR with seating area. A community kitchen, also on the ground floor, features a refrigerator/freezer, stove and sink for use on a first-come-first-served basis. The lobby area serves as the registration area for incoming camps and conferences. These buildings are generally used for youth groups.
The College's largest and newest facility, the Ralph Waldo and Margaret Bell Lloyd Residence Hall, can accommodate nearly 150 people. Echoing the classic architecture of other campus buildings, the state-of-the-art, four-story hall opened its doors in 2003. It features kitchen and bedroom suites that provide a convenient, comfortable home-away-from-home. Suites are a combination of single- and double-occupancy bedrooms. Not all suites have kitchens, but each floor has lounge and community kitchen facilities. This residence hall is reserved for small adult groups and has the capacity for 50 people during the summer.
A Corporate Sales and Events staff member resides in each hall to assist you during your stay. These assistants are Maryville College students who are trained to meet your needs. Some buildings also have a Conference Manager who is a professional staff member, also trained to service conference groups.
Snack food and drink vending machines are in all residence halls for those late night munchies.
Linen packets are available at registration (if requested by the visiting camps). A packet contains two sheets, one pillowcase, one towel and one wash cloth (toiletries are not included). Maid service is not available.
Parking is free on the Maryville College campus; however, there are designated parking areas for various campus constituents. Campus visitors staying in the residence halls should park in designated residence hall parking areas, visitor or open parking areas. Parking in fire lanes or on the lawns or sidewalks is strictly prohibited.
Accessibility to residence halls, parking spaces and other campus facilities is a concern that we take seriously. Maryville College is committed to providing a pleasant experience for everyone. Individuals with special needs should contact Conference & Event Services at least 30 days before coming to campus so that they can be adequately accommodated. There are limited residence hall rooms that are wheelchair accessible and reserved handicap parking slots are clearly marked throughout campus.
