
Delegate Information
- Delegate parking is available in the main Clayton Center for the Arts parking lot. From there, signs will direct you to the Proffitt Dining Room in Pearsons Hall for check-in and a light breakfast.
- A hospitality suite for delegates (and their guests) will be available in the Haslam Flexible Theatre in the Clayton Center for the Arts from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Here you can check your academic regalia and other personal belongings, as well as enjoy Internet access. Coat check will also be available.
Note: If you are running short on time and cannot make it to breakfast and check-in at Proffitt Dining Room by 9:30 a.m., you may proceed directly to the Haslam Flexible Theatre/Hospitality Suite at the Clayton Center for the Arts and register there. - Delegates should report to the Flexible Theatre of the Clayton Center for the Arts for robing and line-up at 9:30 a.m. We ask that everyone be ready for line-up no later than 9:45 a.m. The ceremony begins promptly at 10:30 a.m.
- Delegates will be ordered during the Processional by charter year of their institution (oldest to most recent.) We will supply a line-up order in your packet at registration, and several of our staff will be there to assist you.
- The ceremony is expected to last until noon. At its conclusion, you will be escorted back to the Flexible Theatre at the Clayton Center for the Arts to change out of your regalia and prepare for the inaugural lunch.
- For those delegates (and their guests) planning to attend the Lunch on the Grounds, it will be held on the lawn outside of Pearsons Hall and in Humphrey’s Court and will begin at noon.
- At the completion of the Luncheon (approximately 2 p.m.), delegates will return to the Flexible Theatre at the Clayton Center for the Arts for retrieval of belongings.
- Delegates are requested to provide their own academic regalia.
- If your institution will not be represented, please send official greetings. These will be displayed in the lobby of the Clayton Center for the Arts.

Driving Directions
NORTH FROM CHATTANOOGA/ATLANTA
Take I-75N toward Knoxville. Exit at Lenoir City, Hwy. 321 (just before getting to Knoxville) and turn right off the exit. Continue on 321 for approximately 20 miles (through Lenoir City), and you will come into Maryville. Continue straight and the college will be on the right (you will go under a “bridge” with Maryville College written on it; the campus is the 2nd right turn).
EAST FROM NASHVILLE
Take I-40E toward Knoxville. Exit at Oak Ridge, Hwy. 321 (before I-75) and turn right off the exit. Continue on 321 for approximately 25 miles (through Lenoir City) and you will come into Maryville. Continue straight and the college will be on the right (you will go under a “bridge” with Maryville College written on it; the campus is the 2nd right turn).
SOUTH FROM TRI-CITIES
Take I-81S toward Knoxville. At the Asheville/Knoxville split, take I-40W toward Knoxville. As you come into Knoxville stay on I-40W until you take the Smoky Mountain/Alcoa Hwy. exit, Hwy. 129S. As you exit, the road will split; bear to the left, following the airport signs. After you pass the Airport, bear to the left at fork and follow the MC signs through Alcoa. Continue straight through 6 traffic lights. At the 7th light you will see the campus; turn right onto 321S (Lamar Alexander Pkwy.). Turn immediately left into the college.
SOUTH FROM KENTUCKY
Take I-75S toward Knoxville. After exit 108 (Merchants Rd.) in Knoxville, I-75 splits into I-75/I-640 (to Chattanooga) and I-275 (to Knoxville). Take I-275S to Knoxville. I-275 ends after approximately 3 miles. Take I-40W for about 1 mile. From I-40, look for the Smoky Mountain/Alcoa Hwy. exit, Hwy. 129S. Continue on 129S past McGhee-Tyson Airport (approximately 20 miles). When the highway splits after the airport, stay to the left, continuing through 6 traffic lights. At the 7th light, you will see the campus; turn right onto 321S (Lamar Alexander Pkwy.). Turn immediately left into the college.
WEST FROM NORTH CAROLINA
Take I-40W toward Knoxville. As you come into Knoxville stay on I-40W until you take the Smoky Mountain/Alcoa Hwy. exit, Hwy. 129S. As you exit, the road will split; bear to the left, following the airport signs. Continue on 129S past McGhee-Tyson Airport (approximately 20 miles). When the highway splits after the airport, stay to the left, continuing through 6 traffic lights. At the 7th light you will see the campus; turn right onto 321S (Lamar Alexander Pkwy.). Turn immediately left into the college.
