Maryville College has supported a baseball team since 1876, and on Fri., July 30, Scots fans will meet in Kodak, Tenn., to cheer on the Tennessee Smokies and enjoy an evening with friends, alumni and new president Dr. Tom Bogart. Bogart will be featured in a pregame interview and will throw out the first pitch.

Gates open at 6 p.m.; the game starts at 7:15 p.m. The Smokies, a Double-A affiliate of the Chicago Cubs, take on the West Tennessee Diamond Jaxx. As with all Friday Smokies games, the evening concludes with a unique fireworks show. Make plans now to join other MC faculty, staff, students, alumni and friends.

To reserve tickets and get more information, visit www.smokiesbaseball.com or call (865) 286-2300. Please mention that you are with Maryville College so that you can be seated in a section with other MC folks.
