Orchestra at MC and Community Chorus to present holiday concert

The Orchestra at Maryville College, under the direction of Bill Robinson, and the Maryville College Community Chorus, led by Alan Eleazer, will present a concert of seasonal songs and carols on Sun., Dec. 1 at 2:30 p.m. in the Clayton Center for the Arts’ Ronald and Lynda Nutt Theatre.

Joining the orchestra will be the handbell choir of Madison Avenue Baptist Church in Maryville, directed by Sam Wagner. During the concert, the handbell choir and orchestra will perform two pieces written by Steven Amundson, conductor of the St. Olaf Orchestra at St. Olaf College in Minnesota. Several carols arranged by John Rutter will also be performed.

Tickets for the Dec. 1 performance are $5 and can be purchased at the Clayton Center for the Arts Box Office or by calling 865.981.8590. The performance is free to MC faculty, students and staff with ID, although a printed ticket is required for admission.
