Singers asked to join chorus for Christmas production
The Maryville College Community Chorus is looking for singers for the “Fanfare for Christmas” concert scheduled for Friday, Dec. 5 at 8 p.m. in Wilson Chapel.
Rehearsals are held Tuesday evenings from 7 until 9 p.m. in the rehearsal room of the Fine Arts Center. No audition is required. The musical scores are available at the rehearsal for $10.
This year’s program will feature three holiday choral works: “O Clap Your Hands” by Ralph Vaughan Williams; “Choral Fest” by James Laster, a 1956 alumnus of Maryville College; and “Hodie!” by Z. Randall Stroope, the director of choral activities at the University of Nebraska.
The chorus will be accompanied by a brass/percussion ensemble from the Maryville College Community Band.
