Maryville College students who will be participating in the 2012 Alternative Spring Break (ABS) will be holding a rummage sale from 8 a.m. until noon, Sat., March 3 in the lobby of Cooper Athletic Center.

The sale is a fundraiser for ASB’s trip to Tuscaloosa, Ala., later this month, where they will volunteer with Presbyterian Disaster Assistance (PDA) and Habitat for Humanity, both of which are working with victims of last year’s devastating tornadoes.

Items sold at the rummage sale are expected to include clothes, electronics, home décor, kitchen appliances and furniture.

The group will take donations of saleable items starting at 5 p.m., March 2, at Cooper Athletic Center.

Items that are not sold after noon on March 3 will be donated to local charities.
