Prospective students invited to ‘Meet Maryville’ Nov. 16

High school students, adult learners and community college students are all invited to “Meet Maryville” on Sat., Nov. 16.

Hosted by Maryville College’s Admissions staff, the “Meet Maryville” preview day event is designed to help people become more familiar with the nationally recognized liberal arts college.

“‘Meet Maryville’ is designed to introduce prospective students and their parents to all that Maryville College has to offer, including academics, campus life and extracurricular activities,” said Cyndi Sweet, director of admissions at Maryville College. “Throughout the course of the day, students and parents have the opportunity to meet faculty, staff and current students, which really allows them to experience how becoming a part of the MC community can shape their future.

“We also encourage students to schedule an individual visit at a later date, which can be even more personalized."

During “Meet Maryville,” visitors will hear directly from MC students, faculty and staff members about the College’s core curriculum and why MC graduates are successful because of it. Visitors will then enjoy our all-you-can-eat buffet in the Margaret Ware Dining Hall of Pearsons Hall. Finally, Maryville College Ambassadors will lead “Meet Maryville” guests on a tour of the campus.

If you are unable to attend a “Meet Maryville” preview day event, Saturday tours will be offered at 10 a.m. on Nov. 2 and 9; Dec. 7; Jan. 18; Feb. 15; March 1 and 29; April 26; and May 3 and 17.

The Office of Admissions offers tours Monday through Friday at 10 a.m., 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. (eastern time).

Students interested in Maryville College’s Division of Fine Arts are invited to attend the College’s “Fine Arts Open House” on Fri., Nov. 8 from noon until 7 p.m. at the Clayton Center for the Arts.

The open house event will include workshops and rehearsals, and students will have the opportunity to learn more about auditions, scholarships and programs in the College’s Division of Fine Arts.
