Services and Ceremonies
Baccalaureate service for the Class of 2016 is planned for 6:30 PM, May 14, 2016 in the Clayton Center for the Arts. Family and friends are invited to attend.
Graduation exercises for the Class of 2016 will be held at 2:30 PM, May 15, on the lawn between Anderson Hall and Sutton Science Center. In case of inclement weather, Commencement will be moved to the Clayton Center for the Arts, Ronald and Lynda Nutt Theatre. Seating will be by ticket only. Seniors will be allotted 3 tickets each. All other guests may view the ceremony in the Boydson Baird Gymnasium in the Cooper Athletic Center where it will be broadcast live in high definition on the large screen. The decision to move inside will be announced at Baccalaureate. Seniors will be able to pick up tickets during graduation rehearsal.
Streaming video of commencement exercises will be broadcast live in high definition. Information about access will be available closer to the event.
The president invites all guest to attend a reception immediately following Commencement. It will be held in the Clayton Center Foyer.

The Class of 2016 will hold graduation rehearsal in the Alumni Gym at 1:30 PM (immediately following the Senior Barbecue) on Friday, May 13. Seniors who are marching are encouraged to bring a pen or pencil. Inclement weather tickets will be distributed during graduation rehearsal. A photo ID will be required to pick up tickets and they must be signed for.
Graduating seniors, the College’s faculty and staff members, and members of the College’s Alumni Board are invited to the annual Senior Barbecue, scheduled for 12:15 PM, May 13, in the McArthur Pavilion. Sponsored by the College’s Alumni Association, the barbecue means great food, refreshing beverages and memorable times with friends. Invitations will be sent, and reservations will be taken.
