Center for Calling & Career
There is an old proverb that says “Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.” In keeping with this idea, our goals in the Center for Calling & Career (CCC) at Maryville College are to teach MC students to:
- make functional choices in matching their own interests, values and abilities to majors and career directions, and
- Acquire the skills to search for and secure career positions throughout their lives.
The CCC offers information and services on the following topics:
- major selection and related career options
- informational interviewing
- professional appearance and behavior
- networking to aid in job and internship searches
- resume and cover letter writing
- job interviewing
- conducting internship and job searches
- applying to graduate school
- other issues of vocational/professional development
Students and alumni are invited to:
- schedule appointments for individual assistance by calling 981-8220 or emailing CCC@maryvillecollege.edu
- drop in to the CCC office (308 Bartlett Hall) on Wednesday mornings and Thursday afternoons without an appointment
