Internships
An internship is a high quality learning experience done on-site at an organization or place of employment. It generally can be full-time over the summer or part-time during an academic semester. Providing an opportunity to explore career interests in general and specific ways, an internship is a valuable professional experience that is meaningful to both employer and intern. In effect, it is a work experience which can provide you with a competitive edge in today’s job market and which will give you practical experience. It also provides you with opportunities to begin networking and puts you in contact with potential employers. Many employers use prior internship experience as criterion for hiring.
