Alternative Spring Break

ASB is a service-learning experience offered by the Center for Campus Ministry’s Volunteer Services during the College’s spring break week. Each spring, approximately fifteen MC students and staff venture to a different destination and offer their time volunteering in that chosen community. Participants are usually hosted by a local church or community center while doing their work. Students have enjoyed a wide variety of service opportunities in many different communities, including these past trips:

ASB Leadership Team

The ASB leadership team consists of a small group of students and staff who meet throughout the year to determine destinations, service sites, and fun activities to do while on the trip (local site seeing!). In the early Spring semester, ASB volunteers host a very popular rummage sale on the MC campus to raise money for trip expenses. Overall, ASB is a wonderful opportunity to spend spring break helping others while traveling and having fun in different parts of the country.
