Vice President for Finance and Administration

Jeffery Ingle became Maryville College’s vice president for finance and administration on Aug. 1, 2014. Previously, he served as assistant vice president for business at Gardner-Webb University in Boiling Springs, N.C.

As vice president for finance and administration, Ingle serves as chief financial officer and is responsible for ensuring the College’s fiscal integrity and operational efficiency through effective administration and direction of its financial, human, technology and physical resources.

He serves as senior staff liaison to four committees of the Board of Directors, including finance, investment and endowment, audit and risk management, and buildings and grounds. He also oversees the controller, physical plant, human resources, information technology, bookstore and mailroom.

Ingle was on the staff at Gardner-Webb University from 2005 until his arrival at MC. From 1980 until 2005, he worked for Belmont Abbey College in Belmont, N.C., serving in a variety of capacities, including staff accountant, senior accountant, director of accounting and systems management/assistant business manager, acting vice president for business affairs, interim vice president for administration and finance, coordinator of information technology services, and college controller.

Ingle earned bachelor’s degrees in accounting, business administration and computer information science from Belmont Abbey College, and he completed master’s degree course work at Queens College in Charlotte, N.C.

He is a member of the National Association of College and University Business Officers, the National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators, the Southern Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators and the Association of Information Technology Professionals and the International Management Council.
