Professor White is a native user of American Sign Language and grew up in the Deaf community. Prior to coming to Maryville College Professor White has mentored novice and experienced interpreters in their individual journeys in the profession of American Sign Language – English Interpreting. Currently he is continuing his role as a mentor by working with Bridges for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing in their Educational Interpreting Training Program.
