Focus 2 is a career assessment tool that can be used to investigate majors, explore careers options and make career plans throughout your career. Focus 2 is a Maryville College Works requirement that is completed in the first year.

Informational Interviewing 

What is Informational Interviewing?

An informational interview is a meeting or conversation that is different than a job interview. This type of interviewing provides an opportunity to get information from a current industry professional that can help you make informed decisions and progress on your career path.

Why is Informational Interviewing important?

Informational Interviewing offers you an opportunity to seek information and advice from a professional in the field in which you are interested. It can also open doors to future career possibilities! The connections you make doing informational interviews can come in handy when you are seeking an internship or a job. Informational interviews also increase your professional network of contacts.

When and where do you do Informational Interviewing?

You can conduct an informational interview in person, over the phone, via email or via LinkedIn. Whatever format works best for the parties involved!
