Visiting Lecturer in English

  • Office: Anderson Hall

My academic research has focused on eighteenth-century British literary nonfiction and rhetoric with particular attention to biographies and published articles on trends in seventeenth-century literary study, as well as articles in popular publications like Wildlife in North Carolina devoted to fly fishing and hiking. I taught high school English in North Carolina for a number of years. I have also taught general British literature surveys, courses in seventeenth- and eighteenth-century British literature, and rhetoric and composition at several public state universities, the American University of Kuwait, and Maryville College.
