The concept, principles, and practice of sustainable management are now widely acknowledged as essential factors for the tourism, leisure, and event industries. This course focuses on the fundamental concepts of sustainability that have application to the management of all forms of these industries in developed and developing countries. The class aims to provide a theoretical and practical understanding to maintain environmental, social, and economic wellbeing of natural, built, and cultural resources while protecting natural ecosystems.
