I have lived in Blount County my entire life. I attended Rockford Elementary, Eagleton Middle, and William Blount High School. I went on to Pellissippi State Community College for a year before transferring to Maryville College. I graduated in 2015 with a B.A. in Psychology and a minor in Sociology. During my time as a student, I built lasting and impactful relationships with not only my peers but also with faculty members. Maryville College instilled in me a need to positively influence the world around me and the tools to do so.

Why I Love Maryville:
Maryville College is home to me. I learned so much in the time spent on this campus as a student and a community member. I was able to impact the community on different occasions by volunteering for various organizations linked to Maryville College. With amazing classroom instruction and applicable community engagement Maryville College prepares you for the workforce. The senior thesis is a chance for every student to pose an academic question of their own and research, experiment, demonstrate and draw conclusions to be presented to their faculty advisors and other scholars in the field.
As a staff member at Maryville College I am particularly excited to help other transfer students achieve their educational goals.
By the time you walk across the graduation stage, you will be ready to change the world. You will look around at your classmates, all in caps and gowns, as bagpipes play in the distance. Anderson Tower bell will ring its finale signifying your induction to the extraordinary assembly of alumni before you. You and your peers will go forth, educated, prepared, and motivated to ‘do good on the largest possible scale’.
I love being a part of this Maryville College Community!
