McGill Scholarship Program
Established in 2017 with a gift from the estate of Dan and Elaine McGill, the McGill Scholarship Program offers some of the most prestigious awards available to incoming first-year and transfer students who enroll at Maryville College for the fall of 2019 and beyond.
Dan McGill graduated from Maryville College in 1940 and went on to earn degrees from Vanderbilt and the University of Pennsylvania. Considered an authority in the pension industry, he was a longtime professor and administrator at the Wharton School of Finance at the University of Pennsylvania.
Honoring Dr. McGill’s impressive academic record, high standard for scholarship and numerous career achievements, the McGill Scholarship Program seeks to attract academically prepared and motivated students who desire to be leaders in the classroom, on the campus and in their communities.
McGill Transfer Fellowships recognize the academic accomplishments and leadership abilities of students who transfer from another college or university. Valued at $4,000 each year and given to 5 students annually, McGill Transfer Fellowships are awarded in addition to other merit-based aid offered and are renewable for up to four years of full-time study with an annual GPA of 3.0. Recipients are required to live on campus and participate in the McGill Community
