DESCRIPTION:It’s time to Spot the Scottie throughout Downtown Maryville! \nIn honor of Maryville College’s Homecoming weekend & in partnership with the Downtown Maryville Alliance\, local kids\, families\, community members\, and MC students are invited to join the fun. \nBeginning Thursday\, September 18 through Saturday\, October 11\, pick up your game card at our partner locations (listed below) and Spot the Scottie at 4 participating locations listed on the game card\, earning a paw print stamp at each location. Turn in your completed card at a partner location to get a prize\, learn more about Maryville College Homecoming weekend\, and sign up to join our Little Scotties Kids Area at SCOT-LAND on Saturday\, October 11\, from 10 am – 1 pm. We are pleased to welcome the 2025 Alumni Citation winner\, Jonika Dhima Hoomes ’02\, as the keynote speaker for this inaugural event. Jonika’s topics will include “Zig Zag is the Path” about finding success in nonlinear career paths and the role of liberal arts in her tech career at Google. \nGlean insights from this notable alumna to apply in your future or current career! \nLunch served at 11:00 am – come late if needed! \nRSVP is preferred but not required. \nThanks to the generosity of Taskforce members for enabling this event to be free for all attendees.

DESCRIPTION:All members of the MC community are invited to the celebration of the College’s founding in 1819 as we also recognize the outstanding alumni and students among us and the special anniversary of the MC Alumni Association. This free event is a celebration of the arts at Maryville College. Enjoy performances by the MC Choir\, joined by alumni in the annual Homecoming Choir\, Tartanband\, Off Kilter\, and more! The Homecoming Choir guest director is Josh Sumter ’14 and featured soloists include Robby Clemens ’20 and Dr. Joe Fitzgerald ‘05. \nThe 2025 Alumni Awards will be presented to three deserving honorees\, and the College’s highest honor\, the MC Medallion will be presented to former board chair Mike Davis.
