(This performance features our youngest ballet dancers)\nApproximate running time 40 minutes.\n \n1:00PM – Rhythm and Legends\nGet ready for an electrifying celebration of music and dance!  This high-energy performance brings the stage to life with choreography set to some of the music industry’s biggest icons featuring favorites chosen by VMSD faculty and students.  From jazz and contemporary to tap\, hip hop and musical theatre\, each piece highlights the artistry\, personality and passion of our dancers while paying tribute to the artists who have shaped the soundtrack of our lives.  Join us for an exciting\, crowd-pleasing show you won’t want to miss!\nApproximate running time one hour and fifteen minutes\n \n4:00PM – Alice in Wonderland\nTake a tumble down the rabbit hole with Alice into a world of whimsey and wonder.  Lewis Carroll’s classic 1865 story turned into a ballet follows young Alice through a realm of strange happenings in Wonderland.  Alice traverses a world where she attends a never-ending tea party and faces the formidable Queen of Hearts along with the White Rabbit\, A Caterpillar\, the mischievous Cheshire Cat\, the Mad Hatter and many exciting characters!\nApproximate running time one hour and forty-five minutes

DESCRIPTION:Revolutionary Women: Then & Now is a special event presented by East Tennessee PBS that brings history to life through story\, scholarship\, and shared experience. Guests will enjoy a light brunch from Vienna Coffee Company\, followed by an exclusive screening from The American Revolution by Ken Burns. The program continues with a compelling talk from Melissa Blair\, women’s historian\, author\, and chair of the history department at Auburn University.\nDr. Blair will explore the vital yet often overlooked roles women played during the American Revolution and trace their influence through the generations that followed. From acts of resistance to lasting contributions in shaping the nation\, this event offers a meaningful and engaging look at women’s impact on American history\, then and now.
