SUMMARY:Art Exhibition: Pinkie Mistry
DESCRIPTION:The Clayton Center for the Arts proudly presents a stunning new exhibition by celebrated East Tennessee artist Pinkie Mistry\, whose vibrant oil paintings and monumental public murals have captivated audiences throughout the Smokies region and beyond.\nMistry\, who has transformed the visual landscape of our community with three beloved murals right here in Maryville and thirteen throughout the greater Smokies region\, brings her mastery of oil and canvas to this remarkable gallery presentation. Known for her acclaimed “Wings of Wander” mural series and as the illustrator of five enchanting children’s books\, Mistry continues to build bridges between cultures\, communities\, and the natural world through her art.\nThis extraordinary exhibition showcases four distinct yet harmonious bodies of work that reflect the artist’s diverse inspirations and masterful technique. Visitors will be mesmerized by her evocative series capturing the fluid grace and cultural richness of Indian and Cuban dancers\, where each brushstroke pulses with rhythm and movement. Her collection of twenty luminous butterfly paintings celebrates transformation and migration—themes that resonate deeply with both the artist’s personal journey and our region’s natural heritage. Mistry’s mountain-inspired series pays homage to the majestic Smokies that have long served as both her home and creative muse\, while her deeply textured floral works reveal nature’s intricate beauty through layers of rich\, tactile oil paint.\nDrawing from her East Tennessee roots\, rich cultural heritage\, and extensive world travels\, Mistry creates art that speaks to universal experiences of movement\, beauty\, and belonging. Her bold colors and dynamic themes invite viewers to see their own stories reflected in each carefully crafted canvas.\nJoin us on Tuesday\, October 21 at 5pm to celebrate an artist who has made Maryville and the entire Smokies region more beautiful\, one brush stroke at a time.\n \nGrand Foyer open Monday-Friday 10:00am-4:00pm and during events.

SUMMARY:Loretta Lynn Tribute Show
DESCRIPTION:The Coalminers Present Always Loretta: The Ultimate Loretta Lynn Tribute Show\nThe Coalminers — the band who toured with Loretta Lynn for over 40 years in front of more than 25 million fans at 5000+ shows worldwide — continues to celebrate the Queen of Country with their amazing presentation of ALWAYS LORETTA featuring Emily Portman as Loretta. Emily portrayed Loretta in the Conway Twitty musical “It’s Only Make Believe\,” and during frequent trips to visit the country star at her ranch in Hurricane Mills Tennessee\, Emily traded stories and moments with Loretta that forged a strong bond and a real friendship between the two women. When Loretta died in October of 2022\, her family knew that Emily and The Coalminers were the way to keep Loretta’s legacy alive.\nTogether\, The Coalminers and Emily deliver the most authentic recreation of a Loretta Lynn concert to be found anywhere….presenting the songs of Loretta Lynn the way she performed them and first-hand stories of their on-the-road adventures from the band who backed her at premier venues from Carnegie to Albert Hall\, from Sydney Opera house to the Grand Ole Opry and shares a unique viewpoint of Loretta’s music that can’t be duplicated by anyone else. You will of course hear the biggest hits from Loretta’s legendary career\, and other fan favorites that only occasionally made it into the normal tour song list. One of the highlights of the show is the “Get to Know Loretta” section\, where The Coalminers take questions from the audience and share funny stories about life on the road with Loretta.\nThis 90 minute concert is a wonderfully authentic glimpse into the touring world of Loretta Lynn – an evening of music and memories honoring The Queen of Country and her legendary career by a good friend who sounds just like her and by the band who knew her best.\nThis performance of ALWAYS LORETTA is proudly sponsored by DENSO Manufacturing Tennessee\, Inc.\, whose generous support helps bring outstanding live performances to our community.

SUMMARY:Vienna Boys Choir
DESCRIPTION:The Vienna Boys Choir is one of the most famous choirs in the world\, and one of the oldest. Boys have been singing at Vienna’s Imperial Chapel since at least 1296. In 1498 Holy Roman Emperor Maximilian I. established a Court Chapel in Vienna where he declared that there were to be boys among the singers\, thus laying the foundation for the Vienna Boys Choir. Today\, the former imperial ensemble is a private\, non-profit organization with a primary and grammar school for 330 boys and girls between the ages of six and nineteen with a focus on choral music and singing. The Vienna Boys Choir’s education\, listed by UNESCO as cultural heritage\, is open to all\, regardless of origin\, gender\, nationality\, or religion.\nThe four boys’ choirs perform almost 300 concerts per year\, with almost half a million people attending. Since 1924\, the choirs have completed more than 1000 tours in 100 different countries\, clocking up a staggering 29\,000 concerts.\nOn Sundays\, the choirs sing mass in Vienna’s Imperial Chapel with members of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra and the men’s chorus of the Vienna State Opera. They have performed with orchestras led by conductors such as Joana Mallwitz\, Zubin Mehta\, Riccardo Muti\, Christian Thielemann\, Simone Young\, and Franz Welser-Möst; and appear at the Salzburg Festival and at the New Year’s Concert of the Vienna Philharmonic.\nThe Vienna Boys Choir partners with UNICEF and several other charities. In 2023\, the Choir celebrated its 525th anniversary. To mark the occasion\, Deutsche Grammophon released a live album of the anniversary concert in Vienna’s Musikverein\, Decca Classics released a box set of 21 CDs\, and Böhlau released a book on the Choir’s history. In 2024\, the Vienna Boys Choir and the Vienna Girls Choir jointly received the European Culture Award.\nErasmus Baumgartner has been serving as Artistic Director of the Vienna Boys Choir and the entire Campus Augarten since 2023. The Choir’s President is Erich Arthold.\nwww.viennaboyschoir.net

SUMMARY:Red Hot Chilli Pipers
DESCRIPTION:It’s Bagpipes. It’s Rock. It’s Bagrock. AC/DC meets the poet Robert Burns. Where rock anthems sit comfortably alongside the great tunes from the glens and the mountains of Scotland.\nIt’s The Red Hot Chilli PIPERS – (NOT the Peppers!) — a 9-piece ensemble consisting of pipers\, guitarists\, keyboards\, and drummers — who have been rocking the world from New York to Beijing to Melbourne and everywhere in between with musicianship of the highest order and a passion for pipes that will leave you breathless. The band has four music degrees from the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama and all the pipers and drummers have played at the top level in bagpiping.\nSince they walked away with the top prize on the primetime TV talent show\, “When Will I Be Famous” in the U.K. in 2007\, the Red Hot Chilli Pipers haven’t stopped for a breath\, other than to inflate their bagpipes! Formed in 2002\, The Chillis have fast become a global phenomenon\, taking their signature ‘Bagrock’ sound to the masses with their unique fusion of rocked up Bagpipes and clever covers of popular songs from all genres. Their trademarked sound is a unique fusion of traditional pipe tunes – like “The Flowers of Scotland”\, “The Hills of Argyll”\, and “Amazing Grace” (done Chilli-style\, of course!) — and contemporary anthems like Queen’s “We Will Rock You”\, “Clocks” by Coldplay\, “Chasing Cars” by Snow Patrol\, “Let Me Entertain You” by Robbie Williams\, and a fantastic rock medley of “Deep Purple”\, “Smoke on the Water”\, and AC/DC’s “Thunderstruck”.\n \nThis performance of Red Hot Chilli Pipers is proudly sponsored by Pinnacle Financial Partners\, whose generous support helps bring outstanding live performances to our community. \n

SUMMARY:RESCHEDULED - The Coalminers Present Always Loretta: The Ultimate Loretta Lynn Tribute Show
DESCRIPTION: \nDue to inclement weather\, this performance originally scheduled for Saturday\, January 24 has been rescheduled for Sunday\, March 15 at 3PM. All tickets previously purchased will be honored for the new date—no exchange or action is necessary.\nThe Coalminers — the band who toured with Loretta Lynn for over 40 years in front of more than 25 million fans at 5000+ shows worldwide — continues to celebrate the Queen of Country with their amazing presentation of ALWAYS LORETTA featuring Emily Portman as Loretta. One of the highlights of the show is the “Get to Know Loretta” section\, where The Coalminers take questions from the audience and share funny stories about life on the road with Loretta.\nThis 90 minute concert is a wonderfully authentic glimpse into the touring world of Loretta Lynn – an evening of music and memories honoring The Queen of Country and her legendary career by a good friend who sounds just like her and by the band who knew her best.\nThis performance of ALWAYS LORETTA is proudly sponsored by DENSO Manufacturing Tennessee\, Inc.\, whose generous support helps bring outstanding live performances to our community.\n
