Items will be collected starting April 1 in the Second Harvest barrel in the Bartlett Hall Atrium. Sign up for more information and be sure to scan the QR code on the barrel to let us know you participated! \nAll non-perishable food items are accepted but favorites include: peanut butter\, canned meat/fish\, mac & cheese “deluxe” kits (no milk needed)\, pasta sauce\, rice\, dried or canned beans\, crackers\, canned soup/pasta\, canned fruits and vegetables\, packets of tuna or chicken\, granola bars and other healthy snacks. Please no glass containers\, pet food\, or baby food. See the list of most needed items on Second Harvest’s website. \nFood drives are one of the primary ways Second Harvest Food Bank of East Tennessee collects food. Second Harvest believes in Food for ALL for East Tennessee. Each of their eight hunger-relief programs are designed to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to receive food within the 18-county service area. The total number of people experiencing food insecurity in East Tennessee has surpassed 213\,000.

SUMMARY:Community Chorus Rehearsal
DESCRIPTION:The Maryville College Community Chorus\, under the direction of Dr. Dwight Dockery ’05\, will begin spring rehearsals at 7 p.m. on Tuesday\, January 20\, 2026\, in the Harry H. Harter Choral Rehearsal Room of the Clayton Center for the Arts. Rehearsals are normally from 7 until 9 p.m. The chorus is open to all area singers of all talent levels above 16. Music reading experience is helpful but not required. Registration and music for the choir will be available at the first rehearsal.\nThis established chorus of over 50 singers has a strong tradition of presenting quality choral music and frequently joins other community ensembles\, such as the Maryville College youth choirs and the Orchestra at Maryville College. The chorus performs quality literature of various styles and genres of the highest caliber. It often features the music of area composers and arrangers\, as well as the classic gems of the masters.\nDr. Dwight Dockery ’05 earned his bachelor’s in music theory-composition from MC before obtaining his master’s in choral conducting from East Carolina University and his doctorate from the University of South Carolina. Today\, he serves as music director at Maryville First United Methodist Church.

The timeless musical will be brought to vivid life by the students\, staff\, faculty\, and\ncommunity of Maryville College. A celebration of freedom\, falling in love\, and the friendships that form\nus\, do not miss out on Grease! \n“Grease” will be presented at 7 p.m. Thursday\, April 16 through Saturday\, April 18\, and at 2 p.m. on\nSunday\, April 19 in the Clayton Center for the Arts’ Ronald and Lynda Nutt Theatre. \nTickets are $25 plus tax for general admission. MC Faculty\, Staff\, and Students may obtain ONE free\nprinted ticket to ONE show\, by showing their ID in person and obtaining a printed ticket at the Clayton\nCenter for the Arts Box Office during normal business hours only.
