DESCRIPTION:Project Leader: Tri-State Scots Chapter (Alice Wong ’98\, Melissa Kiewiet ’14\, Anita Baker Lerman ’82) \nJoin fellow Tri-State area Scots for an afternoon of rooftop gardening in Manhattan with Good Shepherd Services. Alumni will be joined by building residents to refresh and update the rooftop garden. Exact location will be shared closer to the event. \nGood Shepherd Services goes where children\, youth\, and families face the greatest challenges and provides resources that build on their inherent strengths to help them thrive. They operate 98 programs\, which help over 30\,000 youth and family members in struggling neighborhoods throughout New York City. All of their programs are united by a common goal—to create opportunities that help our participants succeed at school\, at home\, and in their community.

DESCRIPTION:Project Leader: Tony Murchison ’03 \nIt’s a workday around the farm at Magnolia Harbor Carefarm. Join with volunteers and alumni to perform various tasks around the farm\, caring for the animals and the property. Activities are available for all level of skill and ability. \nMagnolia Harbor Carefarm is a therapeutic program with highly specialized\, evidence-based therapy for those who have experienced traumatic grief and loss and trauma. Magnolia Harbor Carefarm is also a sanctuary for all beings and is a sanctuary for more than 50 rescued animals. The animals at Magnolia Harbor all hold their own varying degrees of trauma and grief. They love to support their human frens.

DESCRIPTION:Project leaders: Rev. Whitney Brown ’08 and Bailey Holt ’20 \nRoom In The Inn- Memphis needs volunteers to help celebrate 5 years on their campus on Ayers Street. The annual Inn Bloom event invites guests\, staff\, and volunteers to a day of fun in the sun! Volunteer opportunities include: set up of the event\, facilitating crafts and games\, and participating in the festivities with guests! Join the Inn Crowd for free food\, ice cream\, music\, and most of all\, Holy Hospitality. \nThe event shifts are divided between the first and second half of the event\, but feel free to stay the entire time! The event runs 11AM to 2 PM with shifts being 10:30AM-12:30 PM and 12:30PM-3 PM for set up and clean up.
