SUMMARY:Carl Gombert: Radiant Geometry
DESCRIPTION:Carl Gombert was born in Brimfield\, Ohio in 1959.  He started taking painting lessons at the age of 14 with money he earned delivering newspapers.  He earned a BFA in Drawing from the University of Akron and an MFA in Painting from Kent State University.  He worked as a stagehand before pursuing a Ph.D. in Interdisciplinary Fine Arts at Texas Tech University.  He has exhibited widely and his work is in numerous public and corporate collections. Since 1993 has taught painting\, drawing and art history at Maryville College in Tennessee.

SUMMARY:KT Days
DESCRIPTION:KT Days brings alumni of all generations back to campus each summer to share sweat equity with their friends and classmates in the spirit of Kin Takahashi. Alumni volunteers complete service projects resulting in valuable improvements to the surroundings on our historic campus. Projects include but are not limited to landscaping\, light carpentry\, College Woods invasive species removal\, cleaning\, and memorabilia archival\, among others. But more than service projects\, this event is a reunion of sorts – friends and classmates joining together in fun and fellowship\, making new friends and relishing the old. \nLearn more and register now on our KT Days website.
