Veterans Day event planned for Nov. 10

The Maryville College Student Veterans Association is planning a Veterans Day event on Fri., Nov. 10.

The event, which will be held from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m. on the lawn between Anderson Hall and Sutton Science Center on the Maryville College campus, is free and open to the public and will include music, food, games and displays.

Two food trucks, Forks on the Road and Quick Fix Coffee, will provide food for purchase, and Kristian Colbert, a Maryville College student veteran and professional DJ, will play music. A static military display will be provided by McGhee Tyson Air National Guard Base, and attendees will have an opportunity to meet and visit with current Maryville College student veterans and learn about their service experience.


Maryville College is ideally situated in Maryville, Tenn., between the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and Knoxville, the state's third largest city.
