Season passes now on sale for MC basketball games

Nov. 8, 2019

Tickets and season passes for Maryville College home basketball games – men’s and women’s – are now available for advance purchase at the Clayton Center for the Arts Box Office or through the CCA’s online Etix ticketing platform, which allows fans to download tickets and passes on their mobile devices or print tickets at home.

In addition to purchasing online, fans may still purchase tickets on game day at tables located just inside the front doors of Cooper Athletic Center.

Tickets are $8 for adults over 18 years of age and $5 for seniors and students ages 6 to 18. Children ages 5 and younger are admitted for free. A season pass, enabling a fan to see all men’s and women’s home regular-season basketball games, is $75. (Passes are not accepted for USA South Conference or NCAA tournament games.)

“We believe these tickets and passes are a great value, especially for families, and we hope they take advantage of this opportunity to see great student-athletes compete at a high level,” said Maryville College Athletics Director Kandis Schram ’85. “We would love to see more people in our stands, wearing orange and garnet and rooting for the Scots. Through Etix, we’ve made their admission really convenient.”

The process for obtaining roundball tickets and passes will be very similar to how the CCA handled ticketing for Scots’ football games this fall, said Blake Smith, general manager of the CCA.

Tickets are issued with barcodes. At the entry tables, staff members from the College’s Event Services team will scan tickets for entry. Single-game tickets will allow only one person to enter the gate one time. Students need only show their college identifications to gain entrance.

According to Smith, the update for football was implemented to streamline sales, support sustainability efforts and collect more accurate data about game-day attendance. Its success led college administrators to decide to extend CCA staff involvement into basketball season.

“We are pleased with the additional data gathered and the outcomes from providing our ticketing expertise for MC football games and pleased to be able to offer the same benefit and support to the athletics department for men’s and women’s basketball,” Smith said.

The men’s basketball team opens its season at home against Johnson University Nov. 16 with the Randy Lambert Classic tournament. The women’s basketball team plays its first home game against conference foe Brevard College on Dec. 4.

Thirteen home games are scheduled for the men’s team in the 2019-2020 season; the women play 10 games inside Boydson Baird Gymnasium.
